Design Board created by: Lauren Oviatt | Web: www.laurenoviatt.com | Location: Utah

Taking inspiration from this incredible space by Gil Shafer III … we reinterpreted this entryway into a kitchen design board that is a little new, a little old, and all kinds of charming! Pairing this popular Kith Sage cabinet finish with contrasting tones and textures of soft cream and charcoal creates an unmistakable layered and lived-in look. When the design board has this much warmth, charm and appeal, can you imagine what the finished space could look like! What’s your favorite detail?

    About the Designer, Lauren Oviatt

Though currently based in the Mountain West, Lauren credits her formative years spent in the South for solidifying her love of interior design and gracious living. “Southerners take pride in the way they live and know well the connection that exists between a thoughtfully-designed space and life’s richest moments. Those Southern roots and that mentality of graciousness creeps into all of my projects in some way,” she says.

Over the course of ten years, Lauren has been fortunate to work on full-scale residential, commercial, executive, and vacation home projects. She is constantly looking for ways to infuse style and individual charm into her projects, keeping an eye for tasteful, neo-traditional American design.

Previous to being full-time in the design industry, she worked in corporate PR and high-end wedding planning. She maintains that her previous experience and education, though varied, still plays into her current interactions and enhances her design projects today.
